Three Day Project is a blended sound including post-punk, melodic emocore, and rock. With mainly emo influences, the band meshes beautifully for a brand new sound.
Why this name?
I don't really remember how we came up with it. I'll post it when I remember.
Do you play live?
We mostly perform at gigs all around Kansas, since we are located in Salina, KS, it just works out well to play in Kansas.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet is a great way for bands to get noticed, or even signed.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutly, given the chance.
Band History:
Three Day Project started out as Nathan Hostetter(guitar) and Daryl Armstrong (bass). It wasn't really a band yet, they just got together and jammed a lot. They decided to try and form a band by adding a singer and drummer. They already knew of someone who could sing, and scream. Steven Borher (vocals) was then brought into the band. The drummer was the hard part. There aren't very many good drummer in Salina, KS. We started out with one, and it didn't mesh well, so we decided to split off from him. Then, Cody Sanders (drums), the other drummer we had in mind told us his old band broke up. We invited him to play with us and we meshed great.
Your influences?
We are mainly influenced by a lot of emo/punk bands. Finch, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday. Also some slightly older rock groups such as Nirvana.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere but Salina.
