Dark Awakening, the sound of whoop your ass thash.
Why this name?
It was the only one we didn't laugh at.
Do you play live?
Yes, we love it live, but don't play enough. Our best moment live was when we played a benefit show and helped raise over $2k
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes your music readily available, so people can check you out right away.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they'd take us.
Band History:
We started in mid 2003. The initial line up was Lance and Sak, Guitar and Vox; Croox, Bass; April, Drums. Brian joined as Vox in early 2004. Croox left the band for school in early 2005, was replaced by Sean on Bass soon after. We've recorded a 3 song demo in 2004, are in the process of putting a new cd together soon. We had a string of bad luck here and there(losing practice spots, members being injured, show cancelations) but we stuck it out, and we're still kickin' ass.
Your influences?
All kinds of metal. Bands like Pantera(r.i.p. Dime), Shadows Fall, Motorhead, Type O Negative, Slayer, Soilwork, The Berzerker, The list goes on.....
Favorite spot?
Anywhere that lets us play.
Equipment used:
Fender, Ibanez, Washburn, Crate, Digitech, Ernie Ball, Kustom, Shure, Pulse, Zildijian, Vic Firth
Anything else...?
Come see us live, that's when we're our best.
