Kabuki Cube are an alternative indie rock band with influences ranging from Oasis, Stereophonics, Pixies, Bowie and White Stripes
Why this name?
We just liked the sound of it.
Do you play live?
We are very close to being able to perform our material live now. Rehearsals are progressing well, so once we get a new bass player we will be good to go.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has added an interesting dimension to the music industry. In some ways it reminds us of the DIY punk labels of the late 70s early 80s in that it allowed a huge variety of neglected artists the ability to bypass the safe corporate pop manufacturing machine to reach an audience, only this time that reach is global. All that said there are still some very good record labels out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if the support they offered allowed for our continued artistic expression.
Your influences?
Velvet Underground, The Smiths, Joy Zipper, REM, Stereophonics, Oasis, Kasabian, The Stone Roses and many more.

Anything else...?
Steve is giving up bass duties so that he can concentrate on production. Therefore we have an oppotunity for a new bass player to come and join us. Please get in touch.
