We in Calibur Per Capita firmly believe in taking time to experiment and find our own sound. The members have been a part of other music projects in the past (Dave - Six Until Sundown, Waiting For Phoenix, Brian - Waiting For Phoenix, Dustin - Class Clown, T.I.P.), but we've found that we never had the opportunity to put ourselves into the music. We are headstrong on taking the time to find what we're looking for before we play shows and record. This is four musicians converging four personalities into song.
In a scene dominated by hardcore and emo, we want to offer a wide spectrum of variety. We want to have the flexibility to try different things both at home, as well as onstage. Instead of playing countless shows with a set of five "okay" songs, we want to take time to find what we enjoy to play. If people enjoy what the product of our project is, we think that is wonderful. Conversely, if you do not enjoy our musical endeavor, that's fine as well.
Consider us an unfinished painting. We are focusing on being an individual band, with many different ties to many different genres. We want to explore the many layers of music.
Sincerely,
CPC

Why this name?
It's a lyric to a favorite band of ours. Guess who?
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier to get your name out. But with everyone trying, so much is out there and it creates fighting between different genres. There's no more unity.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure.
