play lo-fi play hi-fi  Walk In The Dark
VoLk is an expression of all that is dark and morbid in mankind. An exercise in fatalism.
Why this name?
It implies union.
Do you play live?
Havent played live yet, but will soon, Halowwen night as a matter of fact. I have played live in the past and found it to be quite fun. I am also looking for new people to collaborate with on future material. If you in the L.A area get ahold of me through my Myspace acount. www.myspace.com/volk1
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes music more accesible to other countries such as Iran, that currently is being held hostage by the nation of Islam. So mp3's and the internet is definately a good step ahead, although im not sure it is in the right directgion.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
it would have to be a label that truly lets an artist do what he or she desires, and not a label thats just looking for the next hit single. music is meant to be expressive, not competetive.
Band History:
I had the p[leasure of jamming with Danirl emmet. i may or may not be responsible for the birth of the song "Dixie Land". About a century later I was in a death metal band called Anubis, follwed by another Death Metal band Called Malefic Omen. Many Eclipses later Crowly brigade was born and then quickly died. I am currently in two bands "The rebel Family" and "The Undetermined". Both different styles of music. All this while still expressing myself as VoLk.
Your influences?
Music with a dark edge...music that has something to hide.
Favorite spot?
get back to me on that one...
Equipment used:
Well I use ver primitive equipment. It gives me the almost comivcal quality that I like for electronic music. I use a Electribe AMKII analog synthesizer, A MIDI keystation with tons of Effects,Fruity Loops, and then dump it all into Cubase recording software.
