1995?? Check out songs from Self titled 7"
Draggin Tracks
Maximum Rock n Roll
"The cover swears "18 Gear Grinding Tunes." I'd agree. The visual theme throughout the CD suggests drag/punk songs about cars but the reality is much more variety. GARLAND, JOHN SMITH, THE TRANS AMS AND FREEDOM FIGHTERS are among the lesser known bands on this compilation who I'm now a big fan of. Like the comp says, "Cut a Fat One" (to run at top speed) and pick up a copy."

JOHN SMITH/BOSSK - split EP
Both bands deliver the meat on this packaged deal. Both bands have
that Midwest grinding stop/start approach. Gives me a taste of GODHEADSILO
and HAMMERHEAD. This is the second vinyl appearance of JOHN SMITH. This
is the kind of brutal heavy sludge that you would find in small towns across
the U.S.A. Well worth the 3 bones. Driving, strange yet compulsive noise
all at once. (SM)
