I decided to keep it simple for a lead track, and use an old favourite: the 12-bar blues progression, and a pentatonic scale. Enjoy!
metal wankery on the les paul, ultra channel of the JSX. proof i palm mute too fast!
\m/
Why should you buy a Bodenhamer TSovChaos you ask?
here's the reason! les paul, TSovChaos w/ the drive up in TS808 mode, JSX clean channel. punk heaven!
This is me playing my les paul into the clean channel of my halfstack... with a proper recording setup! :D
This is an instrumental piece my bud Cody (Sakeido - www.sevenstring.org) made, and he let me attempt doing vocals over it. Very rough mixing on said vocals..
First time recording using two different guitar parts and a drum track. I think it turned out ok!
This clip has some harsh clipping or something to it :( but the tone, the tone! see description for 'melodic metal attempt'
This is the 3rd take of 3 at recording my latest rig update today. I had to turn down the volume on the amp. I blame the sloppiness on how excited i was to bust out the intro riff haha
gear: gibson LP studio, peavey JSX head, peavey XXX slant ca
the first clip of my C7. ultra channel, boosted, loud and proud!
finally a recording of the C7! boosted with TS7ovChaos.
This is my bodenhamer electronics modded TS7 into my JSX (master on 2) with my Tokai 'PRS' copy
a more organized version of 'odin's sidekick'
after some more tweaking of the JSX, I thought i'd record something. turned out to be in the vein of amon amarth (too bad i dont have a low B!)
I finally got my channels dialed in! still need to match the channel volumes though. if you turn up the very beginning, you can hear the clean channel of the JSX breaking up!
this is the first 'version' of the rhythm stuff that I recorded. This is a more accuarate representation of the tone that I am getting with the JSX. its amazing what mic placement can do!
JSX ultra channel, with some sloppy playing and off-tempo rhythm for good measure
Just a little clean thing, with C D A and E chords.
No warm up, it's still the morning, and somehow this ends up being the heaviest stuff i've recorded thus far - go figure! No solo, no cleans, just rhythm stuff.
I had no internet, so i decided to record instead! there was only a little regard to the rythm track, but im very pleased with some of the solo stuff.
just got a full stack, this is the bottom triple X cab mic'd up with a peavey J SX head (original model)
think as i lay dying, with lots of screwups.
i wanted to record, tahts what happened. i dig it.
see gnet jam 1
Gnet jam, second take? something like that.
So im borrowing a shure PG58 from a friend, decided to give it a shot. sounds better then line out from the ole amp, thas for sure haha. so, 3 riffs with a solo at the end. didnt remember how to loop the drum track, so its a short one.
