Marques Braddy, artistically known as "Braddy Tha Hustla" was born and raised in the city of Macon Georgia where he began his pursuit for fame at the early age of 11 by constructing words into poems that would later take the form of rhymes. Recognized in his middle school as the best writer in his 7th grade literature class, it became clear that Braddy was blessed with a gift and within a year solidified the notoriety came troubles that led to numerous suspensions and eventually a brief expulsion from school.

However, through hard-work and perseverance, he regrouped and after completing high school released his sophomoric project entitled "Independent Hustla." The Independent Hustla Mix-Tape quickly became a popular staple in the city of Macon Georgia. During his tenure as an artist, Braddy Has performed with major artists such as Dj unk (The Omp Camp), Bohagon (BME Clique), T-Pain (Jive,Sony/BMG), and Roy Jones Jr. (From Body Head Bangas Entertainment).

Braddy has also performed live concert appearances at Howard Homecoming, Bike Fest, Greg Streets TSG Talent Search and at other club public venues. With his current hit single, "Money In The Air," creating waves at radio stations regionally, and a forthcoming debut album in the works, Braddy is on the fast track to becoming the undisputed "Independent Hustla of The Year" an a burgeoning new recording artist.

Why this name?
It’s like I was born with it or something, ha ha... well really Braddy didn't really come in to play till high school. And where I'm from we often associate people by their last name, don’t know why, we just do, but my basketball coach really just started it though. I've gone from "Ace" to "Loc Dog" from "Loc Dog" to "Braddy."

Ace was the name I came up with in elementary school (yeah I've been rapping that long) I come from a "very" long line of gamblers and that’s all I’m going to say about that one. Ha ha.
Loc stood for Lyrically Outta Control and forgot what the dog was, but it didn’t last too tong cause I started noticing that it was a whole bunch of Locs out there already and I didn’t want to be confused with anyone else, plus I couldn’t market that name like I would've liked to.

But that Braddy, I don’t know it just had that certain ring to it you know? I mean its so many different ways I could play with it, it’s almost scary. so not only did I stick with this name because it was marketable, but hell in school, it was promoting itself, cause every time you looked around some teacher or principle or girl was calling my name. The or "tha hustla" was self explanatory though. They called my dad "Eggo" Google him along with "Jerry Anderson" and you'll know. But that’s the scoop on BRADD THA HUSTLA!
Do you play live?
Yes ive been performing live since some where around 11 or 12. My first show was down at the Douglass Theater aired live on TV.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think, no in fact iI kno the internet is a very useful tool for exposure as well as distribution. And I think thats all independent artists need is exposure and distribution.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Independent? Yeah Major? Not really unless I'm the driver seat to run it how I want it to be ran. Basically what I'm doing is selling my talent to a label and saying "here, this is what I can do for you, now what can you do for me?" when I get a chance to be heard it's guaranteed to be liked. But to really be honest with you, I’m really not trying to get "signed" right now. I know I might change my mind if Bad Boy, Columbia, or BME hit a hustla up, but until that day I’m a Make it do what it do "BRADDY!"
Your influences?
My # 1 Would have to be my daughter, my mom & sister, I do wut I do because I want better for us as a family they are the reason I grind and shine now.
