Simpleton Guru is a rock band that touches off on many flavors of rock, from alternative to guitar rock and more. Although the band has seen more than a few members replaced, the band has been kept alive by singer(creator)Barry Bolt, and now possesses the guitar sound and rhythmic drumming that has propelled their next album, which is out NOW!! Do you play live?
Yes, we play live. Places locally in Port Huron like Legendz,Active Lounge, Swissel's Inn, e.t.c.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows the little guy(your bandname here) to project your music upon a system of practically millions of listeners!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, but only after a VERY CLOSE cross analysis of the contract from our attorneys!

Your influences?
For me, the guitar player of Simpleton Guru, I grew up on doses of Hendrix and Zep along with numerous other bands like Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots...
Favorite spot?
Our favorite spot is where the most of our fans are(wherever that may be) so all of us can party all night!
Equipment used:
Being the guitar player, I usually run my Marshall TSL 2000 guitar cabinet through my Marshall slant cab along with a Dunlop wah and Boss delay, chorus, and tuner pedals. For guitars,I use a Gibson Les Paul along with a Fender Strat.
