Hello. Welcome to ivLEEscnts homepage! We are more of a group than a band, because we don't play instruments as a real band would. BUT I can tell you that we do compose our own melodies/beats and lyrics. This group was formed by four, awesomely, talented people. Their names are: Sush Lee, See Lee, Shoua Lee, and Nou Lee. We hope to release our album soon--this takes a lot of time and patience. So help support us. =)
Why this name?
Our first group name was LEEssence but after our first performance of our first song, we have decided to change the group name. WHY? We felt that LEEssence sounds too much like another band, so to avoid complications and conflicts, we made a hard decision and changed it to ivLEEscnts. "iv" meaning 4 (because there's four of us), "LEE" for our last name, and "scnts" just because it sounds nice with it.
Do you play live?
We have performed live once and that was this past May at the Hmong American Partnership. We only performed one song because we only had that one done, but now that we've got about 4 songs going already...I really do hope we can reach our goal.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We think it gives us a great opportunity to show what music is really like from our point of view. Regardless of what people say or think about us, it just makes us stronger to hold true to our dream.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
(laughs)...definitely!
Band History:
Well, it will be a year in February when we have started this group so there's not much history on us YET.
Your influences?
There's a lot of people whom we admired, but we just want to stay true to ourselves. We love all kinds of music from R&B to hip hop to dance so you can say, we were influenced from every angle of great musician out there. There's too many to name so we'll just keep this simple.
Favorite spot?
(laughs)...where else? Appleton! That's where it all started.
Equipment used:
All our music was created by our great music composer, SUSH LEE. He uses Fruity Loop Studio and ACID 5.0 and like Sush says, "If you have a beautiful mind and great ideas, why not put it to good use?"
