April 2007 - We have added a new singer/guitarist to the band and are working on remixes of our songs which should go up in the months to come.

July 17, 2006 - New song written by our lead guitarist Josh called On Your Own is up. Let us know what you think of the new song.

April 12, 2006 - CONGRATS to Stephen for being voted best DFW bass player ages 11-17 by classic rock radio station. Stephen wins slot at fantasy band camp!

We are a Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas based classic rock band. What separates us from many of the other bands out there is the band members range in age from 13-16. But don't let our young ages fool you, we are all classically trained musicians and we all play multiple instruments.
Our lead guitarist Josh is 13 years old. He has been playing guitar for 3 years. He also plays trumpet in the school bands.
Our drummer Caleb is 16 years old. He has been playing drums for about 2 years. He also plays tuba in school bands and always places high in state competitions.
Our bass player Stephen is 15 years old and covers bass, sax and vocals. He has been playing bass for about 3 years. He also plays saxaphone in school bands and always places high in state competitions.
Michael is 13 years old and is the newest member of the band. He handles lead vocals and guitar. He has been playing guitar for several years.

Why this name?
The name Finishline is a play on words as two members of the bands families immigrated to the USA from Finland.
Do you play live?
The band is still in its learning phase but practices hard and has been busy writing original material for upcoming gigs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
No question the internet levels the playing field. With the internet, a group doesn't have to "sell its soul" to the big music companies to get a chance. We think the internet is the single most important change in music since the electric guitar.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would never say never about signing with a label. Right now, it's just a dream but the band is working hard and believes with alot of hard work and a little luck... anything could happen.
Your influences?
All the classic rock bands. Our primary influences are: The Who, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen but we also like other styles of music such as: Stevie Ray Vaughn Jimi Hendrix Queen the Beatles Eric Clapton and jazz greats like Miles Davis Billy Holiday, etc.
Favorite spot?
Hey we're still kids, ask us again in a couple years!
Equipment used:
All the band members have one thing in common; we understand it takes great gear to make great music. Caleb uses a pro level Pearl drum kit. Josh primarily uses a Gibson SG thru a marshall tube amp. Stephen uses a fender Geddy Lee bass thru a Gallien-Krueger amp. Michael uses a Fender stratocaster thru a fender tube amp. We are currently learning digital recording with a tascam 8-track digital recorder along with a PA and lots of supporting gear.
