Combining influences ranging from STP, Fuel, and Hum to Tool, Staind, and Sevendust, DOWNSIDE UP brings hard rock with vocal melodies soaring over massive guitar riffs and a tight and explosive rhythm section. In the end, though, it all comes down to great songwriting for these guys. Each song stands alone taking the listener on a ride through musical passion and human emotion. Each band member has his own different musical influences and the band isn't afraid to tap into all of them; meaning you won't be thinking you heard the same song twice at a DOWNSIDE UP show. Great songs, great musicianship, and great chemistry all come together for an experience that won’t soon be forgotten. Take a listen to DOWNSIDE UP.
Why this name?
It has to do with how we all look at life. There's good and there's bad. Either way, you have to deal with it somehow.

Downside Up is playing in and around the Tampa/St Pete and Orlando areas now.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Possibly, if it gave us what we want as a band.
