Unforgotten is a Christian band consisting of two gals. Both of them were sick of most main-stream Christian music and at the same time, despised all the pop clones of secular music. We seek to make music that everyone will like, that is original, and *grin* hopefully has some redeeming value. The members are Christians and also want to have a good influence in pop-culture. We like music more than the air we breathe and we want to share our love for music with the world.
Why this name?
We had originally planned to call ourselves Where's Ken's Head, after a song we'd written about the popular Barbie-Ken pairing (don't ask). That fell through because "Ken" is a trademark and we figured someone would make us pay royalties eventually. *ugh* Well, we went on to another name "Millenium Freaks", but the millenium came and went and the name lost its effect. There were several other names, after that. In fact, the two members, Yuku and Kimmy, had a list of over 350 possible band names before actually deciding on one!
Eventually, we actually got a name. Yuku heard a song on a Christian radio station. One of the lines was "We are not forgotten, we are ever in His site and He will come to us when the time is right". The name Unforgotten was taken from that line and refers to the fact that God hasn't forgotten His people. We agreed, THAT'S GOTTA BE OUR NAME!!!!
Do you play live?
We've played for a few things, nothing special though.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It revolutionized music by allowing people to share their music freely, without being "discovered" by the sheer luck of having a talent scout watch you by chance at a bar one night (or something like that ^-^). It also helps people distribute their music to people who will maybe buy the album later, but can sample your music online first.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. Absolutely not. Major labels don't provide any service that a smaller label (or your own desktop and cd burner) couldn't provide. Just a big name for your cd. They also charge too much for cds and tend to rip off the public. We don't like buying overpriced cds and we know future fans wouldn't like buying ours overpriced either. It just isn't a very good route to go anymore.
Band History:
Unforgotten was formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on a cold day some time in 2001.
Your influences?
Don't let anyone tell you that we write like what we listen to. hahaha!!!!! After reading this list and hearing our music, you'll just think we're insane. :D
These aren't all of our influences, just the big ones (click on the names to find out more!-note: not every site on here is an official site.): X Japan, The Beatles, Dave Gravis, pretty much anything that was played from 1960-1975, Def Leppard, Steven Curtis Chapman, hide, Kate Rusby, James Taylor.

Wow. that's more than I thought...hmmmm....okay... MOST of these people influenced us. ^o^
Favorite spot?
Kimmy prefers the rolling hills of Scotland. Yuku would much rather be in Cairo or a comic shop in Tokyo. Both of them like Texas.
Equipment used:
Fender guitars (esp. stratocaster), casio keyboard, zidjian, roland, fender anything, casio anything. yeah. :)
Anything else...?
God bless us everyone!!!!!! Oh yeah...(lines from a Kiss song) God gave rock and rooooooollll to you, gave rock and roooooollllll to you, gave rock and roooooolllllll to everyone!!!!!
