I am a Christian hiphop artist in Coshocton, Ohio. I have been doing music for several years now and am currently seeking a label to get signed onto. This is my full-time job and ministry and I really enjoy what I do.
Why this name?
Unfortunately Dusty Hill is my real name, but it is kinda catchy, so I stuck with it for my stage name as well.
Do you play live?
I have performed live in various areas in Ohio currently. I am looking to get signed on with a label, broaden my scope and go global.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet is a valuable tool for the music industry. When I collab with someone, or want to get feedback, I can upload my vocals to that person and then they can do their thing. MP3's are great too because they compress the file making it easier to send.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My goal is to get signed on with a major label, but I am praying for God's direction in my life. God will take care of the rest of the details.
Band History:
I was influenced by hiphop back in the late 80's early 90's before I rededicated my life to Christ by such groups as NWA, Ice-T, Heavy D, Kid-n-play, and Public Enemy. I have been writing and performing for several years now.
Your influences?
I am heavily influenced by Eminem's music. Although I do not represent his lifestyle or his lyrics, I can't help but be drawn to his delivery and his witty rhymes. He has also been through alot of similar circumstances that I can relate to.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is in front of a hyped up audience.
