Could Be The One
My solo project (Georgio) was born late last year after having spent many years writing, composing, singing and playing with other members of various bands. I've always been a writer of "Pop" music, so now I get my chance to "get it out there" on my own.
Why this name?
I met a lady in a chatroom (go figure) who is also Italian. She got in the habit of calling me "Georgio"... and it kinda stuck.
Do you play live?
I haven't played "live" in a few years now, although I used to love it. (Who doesn't) As far as "special moments" go, we all tend to remember the "bad" as well as we do the "good". As anybody who's ever had this experience can attest to, getting a compliment from someone you don't know can be very gratifying. "Overhearing" someone compliment you can be even better!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In a word or 2... the days of the mega-millionaire music stars is "almost" over. We can all get great music by tons of underground (or unknown) artists without paying for it like we used to. That's not to say that we NEVER buy music... because we all do... it's just that (as kids) we either bought it at The Wherehouse... or we didn't get to hear it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely! (For peanuts, I might add!)
