Why this name?
Chang is my name. And SG means Singapore. There's really no need to explain the bandname. The music counts for more.
Do you play live?
Nope. Unless you consider playing in the bedroom as "live"?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'm currently under my own label named Bedroom Productions. It's still going strong with 1 artiste in its ranks, namely ME ^^.
Band History:
To cut the long story short, I learned to play the guitar and started to write songs after i realise i could. And everything else just followed naturally.
Your influences?
The style i write is very varied, but eventually i'll still fuse them with some of my rock roots. Sometimes i write more obscure stuff like pseudo-flamenco ("Strato's Sundance"), progressive power metal ("Into the Storm") and funk maybe ("Nobody's Going Home")?
I try to cover as much ground as possible, while still retaining my own style to compositions. Yup, so dun be surprised if the nxt up and coming song is totally different!

Favorite spot?
Definitely my bedroom. It's the place where the music happens, and more ;)
Equipment used:
Guitars: Usually my workhorse Mexican Fender Strat, very rarely a Thinline Reissue Telecaster comes into the picture, and a Maestro Acoustic for the acoustic duties.
Amp: Roland Cube 30 for most of the drive sounds.
Effects: Boss DS-1 for lead lines, sometimes a Visual Sound Route 66 for the sweet crunch. And a Ibanez Tubescreamer for the times tt i need a boost for solos.
Everything else is preprogrammed using MIDI, after which i use it to trigger the various softsynths in my arsenal. I'm slowly converting to full softsynths for my songs, so majority of the older songs still have traces of MIDI sounds in them.

Anything else...?
I do not have the natural gift of singing. But i have to do it nevertheless. So until the day i find someone who can sing to takeover or i suddenly can sing like Mariah Carey, you guys would have suffer.
