Kendra Kessel began playing the piano and writing songs at the tender age of 5. By age 14, she graduated from the rigorous Suzuki School of Music program on the violin. Her musical talents led her to win numerous music competitions on the piano, violin and singing, where she began making a name for herself throughout MN and AZ.

Kendra spent most of her younger years performing at community events, colleges, elite dinner functions, malls, church, school events, musicals, charity functions, and as a solo pre-performer for various world-renowned classical artists. Even while spending almost every waking moment doing music, she somehow managed to keep a consistent 4.0 GPA throughout her schooling and lead her track and field, volleyball, and cheerleading teams as a team captain.

Kendra received her B.S. degree from the U of AZ, but realized that her life would not be fulfilled unless she was doing music for a living. Her drive and dedication finally led her to Los Angeles where she has been fortunate to have worked with some of the industries top writers/producers (Cliff Magness--Kelly Clarkson, Avril, etc; Ron Feemster--Michael Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, etc; Gerhard Joost--Usher, Dru Hill, etc; Kyle West--Al.B.Sure, Donnell Jones, etc)--writing for other artists as well as for herself. She is currently finishing up her first CD and is busy sharing her musical talents in the studio or performing on stage as a solo artist or as a musician for other artists.

As a songwriter, Kendra writes all types of music from classical, choral, and country music, to pop, R&B, and Hip Hop music. However, as an artist, Kendra's style is Pop/Rock with a classical/musical feel. What Alicia Keys did for R&B music, Kendra is doing for Pop music.
