No vocals...semi-orchestral electronic stuff. Sort of a cross between a video game soundtrack and a movie score. Or something like that.
Why this name?
A hologram is a three-dimensional image produced from a pattern of interference from a split coherent beam of radiation. A holovid is like a hologram, but cooler.
Do you play live?
I prefer to play dead.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes sure every dog gets his (or her) 15 minutes of fame. In my case, I think it's been more like 20 seconds.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, if they ever start picking up homebody electronic musicians. I think I'm number 269,101 on the list.
Band History:
After defeating the army of mutant cyborgs and saving the galaxy, I found that I had a lot of time on my hands. Instead of idly whiling away the hours drinking myself silly and dreaming of better days, I took up music.
Your influences?
Thievery Corporation, Lemon Jelly, early Moby, Aphex Twin, Underworld, Leo Kottke.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is Boston.
Equipment used:
Korg Triton, Cakewalk Sonar.
Anything else...?
The square root of infinity is infinity.
