The Group name was chosen because Nyquist invented the theory of sampling.

We are predominantly a studio production team,but a lot of the sounds we use are played live before being twisted up in the studio.

The internet & lets not forget the PC has totally revolutionized the music industry in just about every way possible to imagine in a very short space of time.
i think it's important to point out that the PC is a hugely influential part of this with the majority of people these days using PC only or very minimal PC orientated studios,which cost a fraction of hardware studio's from just a few years ago.

Meredith - main influences are/have been - UK Electronica/Detroit Techno/Drum & Bass,although down the years i've listened to anything & everything.

Steve - I try to take influences from every genre of music.Big admiration for artists such as Radiohead,Bjork,D.J.Shadow and too many to mention.

Steve would probably say Liverpool.

Overclocked PC with all the usual bit's & pieces,RME Hammerfall Multiface soundcard,Mackie HR824 monitors & EMU E6400 Ultra sampler which does not get used much.

an Alesis Andromeda is in the pipeline (to add a bit of analogue warmth)..along with a TL Audio C1 valve processor with digital card to be used as a front end to warm up the digital sound.

Software wise we're currently running Nuendo 3 (Kontakt 2,Reaktor 5,Waves/URS & PSP plugins deserve special mention),Wavelab,Soundforge & Recycle,with all the usual Synths & FX Processors.
