Real Music is the parent label, created by me, but ST(StreetTeam)is the main label, we been a group since 99 and still going strong, I have another group under Real Music called Twin Chamberz, ST is more north style and TC is our southern style but everybody versatile enough 2 switch up.
Why this name?
I chose Real Music because that's what we make, nothing fake, I came up wit the name because the game started 2 be taken over by artists talking stuff they ain't living.
Do you play live?
We performed once but we plan on exploring other options. A lot of the members attend different colleges, so we have to send each other songs and add verses.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet has aadvantages and disadvantages, it can help artists like us who trying 2 get on but it can hurt signed artists, because whole albums can be downloaded months before they drop.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I could keep my label and just carry the name of the major. Ex. Real Music/Def Jam, I'm still in control Def Jam just cut my team a check.
Your influences?
To many 2 name, ask me. I get influences from different genres and artists, (We make beats 2, our sample game on Kayne level) I might hear a rock song and something in the hook might give me an idea for a song.
Favorite spot?
I love Philly cuz I was born there and the music scene is also heavy there.
