Colin Mounsey is a singer / songwriter based in Leeds UK. He is obsessed with Hungry Pigs, Pandas, music and strong alcohol (in no specific order).
Why this name?
Quite simple really ... it's what was on my birth certificate. For a more enlightening answer I would have to ask my parents ...
Do you play live?
Yes, as much as I can. You will probably see me out and about in Sheffield, Leeds, and Manchester at some point I intend to try and venture down south too ...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's given people the chance to promote themselves and the ability for perhaps more obscure music to get a fair opportunity.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Is the sky blue ? Of course I have musical integrity and major labels can be a bit daunting ... but it's best to sit at the table with these guys cos then you can try and change things.
Band History:
I have played in bands in all over the country through going to university, jobs etc. but they always seemed to lose their way and drift apart.
I took the decision a couple of years ago to focus on what I do best - writing songs on the piano. From that point I have now completed 2 EPs collaborating with some excellent musicians along the way and having a fair bit of fun playing live.

Your influences?
Ben Folds, David Bowie, Mull Historical Society, Adem, Queen, Radiohead, Nina Simone anything that can make my spine tingle really.
Favorite spot?
Hmmm .... a tricky one. Either sat on the Kop at Bramall Lane in Sheffield .... or Derbyshire at nightime ... but all different places have different meanings and are special in their own ways I guess.
Equipment used:
Piano, Drums, Bass .... and guitar when I can tune the damn thing.
Anything else...?
Not really ... other than to say I hope you like what you hear and please feel free to mail me to say 'hi'.
