Different types of music for different moods.
Why this name?
It rolls off the tung nice ... and it's how music comes to me ... for better or worse ... like butter.
Do you play live?
For many years I played live with many different bands. I've been fortunate enough to see much of the world playing music. Lately I mostly play music alone in my studio.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet destroyed the music industry - but in order to rebuild something, you must first tear it down. The internet has given individual artists the ability to distribute their music worldwide without signing away their souls.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I found the right group of people ... I'd love to be a part of an orginization that promotes and profits, and pays for my music.
Band History:
Well, as I said, I've been in a number of bands. This project is just me. As for my history ... Born, School, Rock. (With a few movies, meals, and bong loads in there.)
Your influences?
Led Zeppelin, Wilco, Pedro the Lion, Radiohead, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Coldplay, Randy Newman, Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley, Jeff Beck, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix, John Williams, and many many others.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is in a city called chillmark in Martha's Vineyard. There's a place where the sun sets half in water half on land. People come from miles around to see it. They always applaud when it ends. I also like Barcelona.
Equipment used:
I use Pro Tools, Live, lots of floor boards, and a maraca.
Anything else...?
I write a lot of music. It's so weird to have to compile it into one place and say "This is me" ... but - This is me:
