Anthony Ocana, composer and guitarist, develops a musical style influenced on Jazz, Classical music and Caribbean music. He mostly writes music for guitar and percussion. At the same time he sporadically writes for other instrumental setups such as orchestra, ensembles. Also anthony loves to write songs, so every once in a wile he turns some of his compositions into songs.
The reason why Anthony gets influenced by many fields of music is due to the simple reason that he has been living in different countries. He was born in Dominican Republic, right after went to live in Venezuela for 3 years and then back to his homeland and when he became 18 he decided to live in NY to study guitar and composition. When he was finished studying he decided to live in Spain, Madrid, where he is actually residing. Within these traveling experiences he learned from Rock music, Jazz, Caribbean music, Latin American folk music and Classical music. Nevertheless for him music signifies his most true expression of his existence, something that comes out of his heart and soul and most sincere thoughts.
