Old Head is Philadelphia's newest rising star in the field of hip hop. Local radio and print ads can't seem to get enough. But don't take our word for it, hear Old Head for yourself.
Why this name?
The name Old Head comes from the fact that I have been in and around the Philly hiphop seen for aruond 20 years. So I have become the elder statesman if you will

I'm in the process of booking an east coast promotional tour

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it definitely helps the industry in that, it allows lesser known artists worldwide access that was not possible before
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely, I think the two mediums should co-exist.
Band History:
My first single actually dropped in 1985, and I have been in and around the industry since.I've done a lot so it's really hard to list them in a short form
Your influences?
Definitely the Old School artists. I've done shows with Salt n Pepa, LL Cool J, Mantronix, Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, etc.
Favorite spot?
Philly ( no place like it on earth )
Equipment used:
I produce most of my own tracks using an array of samples, beats and mixes
