I am a guitarist, songwriter, and (not trained) studio guitarist. My wife and I colaborate on some songwriting, and I play guitar on many recording projects of almost every genre of music except for country. My wife writes Christian based lyrics for all of our music but I play on almost everything that I'm asked to as long as it's not really offensive.
Why this name?
Just basically came up with something for this little site to share my MP3's so my friends who live away from me can check out the stuff I'm working on.
Do you play live?
I used to play in a Christian Metal band and played about 80 shows but as a family man, it was become too much of a strain on my family and my finances.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's definetly given the little guys a much greater chance and has made it possible for the world to hear some great musicians who would have otherwise never been heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
probably not but never say never
Band History:
Been playing since I was 19. I now teach guitar to about 10 students and do a lot of studio work.
Your influences?
I'm a huge fan of instrumental rock such as Steve Vai, Satriani, and more. I also like bands such as Megadeth, Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater, Sevendust, Disciple, POD, and Pillar.
Also, I like some blues like Clapton, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Buddy Guy. I love 80's Pop and Hair Metal, but also modern Emo, Metalcore, and just about everything but Country. I even like Jazz, Reggae, and Techno.
Favorite spot?
Good ol' South Arkansas in General
Equipment used:
Peavey Wolfgang, Peavey Odessy, Epiphone Les Paul, and Ibanez acoustic.
Peavey and Line6 amplification with many effects from Boss, Rocktron, Digitech, and Line6.
Anything else...?
Right now I am absolutely in love with Line6 products. All the tracks on this site were done with a Line6 FlextoneII amp direct lined in. These are only scratch tracks but I was pretty pleased with the tone I achieved with basically no time spent on trying to get a great sound. Most of the Rhythem guitars were an Epiphone Les Paul with EMG pickups and most of the lead stuff is the Peavey Wolfgang.
