In the fall of 2004, Grant Wiscour started his band, the Infidels, while working as a bouncer at Adair's Saloon in Dallas. He began looking for the right people to join his band that would represent the Hard-Driving Texas Country sound that he was fond of. So, this bouncer turned front-man began assembling his "Infidels? with the spirit of Billy Joe Shaver, Chris Wall, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Johnny Paycheck and Dallas Favorite, the Mo Robson Band.
Why this name?
The Infidels are quick to say that the name "Infidel" is not a moniker for "God Hater" or any other agnostic crap. The guys say they just got tired of folks overseas calling Americans, "Infidels" and the name stuck. Just because you raise Hell on stage doesn't mean you don't say your prayers at night. This is, without doubt, a band with Attitude.
