Brother Hood 603 is a hiphop group out of Sunset Park Brooklyn.
The group was formed by Arewhy & Thanos as they are blood brothers
and grew up together in the slums of Brooklyn listening to underground
hiphop mostly off the Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito show on 89.9.
There they heard the greatest hiphop ever and realized the road
they needed to go down. Growing up in Sunset Park and moving to
Van Dyke projects (Brownsville Brooklyn) and then moving to the
Gowanna's projects made them street savy and very familiar with the
struggle. Nothing was easy for Arewhy & Thanos. Once they realized
hiphop was their path they started making beats on the MTV Music
Generator for Playstation 1. People never took the time to learn this
program cause they didnt have the patience for it but Arewhy & Thanos did.
It gave them the basic layout and format for making beats. Then they
picked the MTV Generator 2 and it gave them the capability of sampling
which the first version didn't have. Once they learned how to sample they
were going up to radio shows and other artist studios to shop their beats
around and the result was amazing! People thought they were making
beats on Korg Tritons and Mpc.2000's. When told it was on a $50 program
for a $150 gaming machine they lost their minds. From there it was ON!
Arewhy & Thanos formed the Brother Hood as their camp and brought in
Automatik & Killa Casmo as their first recruits. There has been many people
that have come and gone from the Brother Hood. Some were real, some
were fake but never the less Arewhy & Thanos stood at the front lines and
never stopped making bangers. They now have formed a super crew with
Vast Aire & Genesis! LXG and the Brother Hood are now a movement that
cannot be stopped. When you see "Brother Hood 603 / LXG" beware of the
realest hiphop to hit your radar. Arewhy & Thanos have produced many
bangers for Vast Aire, Genesis and other artist's such as Cappadonna,
Aceyalone, Access Immortal, Sadat X and many more. They are currently
workin with Twin Gambino (Infamous Mobb) on a project. As they say when
you speak to them "They are the next Niggaz" and truly they are. You can

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes it cause downloading hurts the artist but also
helps him/her promotion wise!!! So its a gamble!!!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends. We would really have to do a lot of thinking
and research about the deal. If its right then we'll rock!!
