My First Quick Mix
Hi, you've reached the page of one of the phatest hip hop dj's in O-Town. I am Nick Henny or Dj Dalite. I've been spinning for about 4 years now and im getting into production of my own music. I hope you all enjoy this page and come back for updates and what not. I will post my newest mixes and skratch sessions.
Why this name?
My crew - consisting of myself, mr. mixx, dj t-roc, and adam, we call ourself the Mix-it-up crew and our business Mix-it-up Productions. Were based in Orlando Florida. I came up with my name while I was in a conflictive relationship at school, as the name implies - ladies fight for the dalite - just kidding.
Do you play live?
I dj mobile, doing just about anything kind of event you can think of. I love doing weddings so I can spin whatever I want and watch people dance drunk. I also spin at a few clubs. The Lounge, Mako's and The Grotto.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps expand the diversity of music. Without the interent most of the world would be listning to the top 40 maintstream radio music they play all day. With the internet you can share music and get yourself out in the open.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, after getting large I would become independent though.
Your influences?
My main influences are: Dj Craze, Dj Rectangle, Dj Q-bert, and Dj A-Trac. I love all dj's who are creative and do there own thing though. I love to spin just about everything, mostly oldschool hip hop, but some breaks, DnB, and House are always good.
Favorite spot?
So far - Cairns, Australia.
Equipment used:
Well: I got two technics 1200's and two Pioneer Cdj1000's. Also im looking into final sratch. I use a Vestax 05 pro2 mixer but i am getting the new rane 3 channel.
