I'm Claus Rogge. I've been working with homerecording since 1977 and have now got a fully digital studio (Mac mini) at home and an analog one (Fostex M80, Tascam 308) for fun. I play a variety of guitars and basses, Chapman Stick (on newer pieces only!). Some of my pieces are mainly vehicles for improving my improvisational skill (like improvising in 15/8 or on real crazed changes) and some are composed and have been thought about for a long time before I record them.
Why this name?
It's my real name, simple as that.
Do you play live?
Bass and guitar in a Rock Band Hide the Blemish, Bass in a Jazz Trio Social Music and in a Big Band (small people Big Band). Do I like it? No! I LOVE it!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Too many people make music because they hope to become millionaires or want to bathe in drugs and whores. Maybe we`ll get some more musicians on the scene and less wannabe rock stars!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. Look what they did to Jack Bruce and he´s a legend who changed the run of history! What´ll they do to me???!!!
