Hi, I'm James Walrus but I'm not really a walrus as you can tell from the picture on the right (which is real though) To introduce myself I love writing stories and ever since I've gotten into music I've liked telling stories through music too. Kind of like themes or music for scenes, like a soundtrack. I also write about things happening in my life at the time, like the drama of having a real life guardian llama living in my backyard (llama drama)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Stuff like this is fun! Makes me feel like a rock star doing an interview like this... like I'm actually some big artist with info that tons of people are going to be reading. It's just funny, cause I'm not.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would... I always love making music and get really into the stories I tell with it. Telling a huge story on a CD like a Pink Floyd CD or something would be a blast. I have tons of ideas all the time and never see myself running out. They're not necessarily always good ideas, but they're ideas.
Band History:
I played trumpet since before i was born. I got a guitar for christmas 6 years back and taught myself how to play.
Your influences?
All kinds of classic rock (especially 70s stuff)... Boston, Blue Osyter Cult, Pink Floyd, Phish, Led Zeppelin, Steve Miller Band, Deep Purple, Joe Satriani, Red Hot Chilli Peppers is another big one & lots I'm not remember at the moment...
