play lo-fi play hi-fi  At Night (Steve G's Tech Edit)
Why this name?
Just cut my name down to my initials, as we all do :-))
Do you play live?
I dj around various local venues including Loughborough's Discoteca of which is currently holding one of East Midlands biggest house events "Pure Filth".
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well it certainly beats making a 40 minute drive to my closest record store & it allows you to buy / listen with a click of a mouse. Also very handy to send mp3's to promoters as it saves spending X amount on postal stamps :-))
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, i'm pushing my DJ career as far as possible & signing with major labels is one of my goals without a doubt, although i wouldn't want to appear on too many commercial tracks.
Band History:
Currently represented as one of Leicestershire's best up coming DJ talents, Steve G (Steven Goodwin) is constantly proving to become a worthy talent within the clubbing scene. His sets always manage to break down the dancefloors as he combines tech twists fused with tribal beats & house grooves all into one unique experience for his followers...

In 2001, he managed to secure his first resedency at Pulse Nightclub (Loughborough) of which he warmed up for UK's very own DJ 4Real. After receiving constant positive feedback from audiences & promoters, he then featured in leading events such as Extreme, KaHua, Pure Filth & many more...

By 2003, he was already playing alongside the likes of Strakes (KaHua), K Klass (Cream), Marc West (Passion) & other quality DJ's. Meanwhile his own event (Liquid) was rapidly expanding & is now currently stated as one of Loughborough's most popular twisted house events...

It's now 2005 & this year looks better than ever, his latest remix & first release "At Night" (originaly produced by Shakedown / Defected Records) has been played on Future Fm via Mark Ellisons radio show for a 3 week repeat play...

Steve's comments : "I'm in an extremely fortunate position, where I can play what i enjoy & people are respecting my music. Many thanks to those who have supported me along the way, special thanks to : DJ 4Real, Luke Twins, Guy Incognito & all the rest !!!"
Your influences?
I love chunky tribal / tech grooves but with a hint of funk, my main influences are Robbie Rivera, Joy Kitikonti, Steve Lawler... All 3 of these have a superb drive for the styles i would like to mix.
Favorite spot?
