The term is over: the holidays have begun
The dream has ended: this is the morning after.

Why this name?
Originally when I was naming the solo project I was going through names and names. I laid down on my bed and looked up at a Radiohead poster I had and right in the middle said "Long Stay" and I loved it. I took it as nothing is permanent, we are all visitors. Life is just an experience and long stay, but it's open for so much more interpretation.
Do you play live?
Yes, all over San Diego, the OC, LA area, wherever will book me. Love it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Change for the good as bands have so many avenues to get there music out. Change for the bad because people are stealing music and not supporting who they like.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends.
Band History:
LongStay began and remains for the most part, a solo project by Nik Ewing. After leaving his most recent band, Nik began home recordings and those soon grew to studio recordings. Nik's lineup is constantly changing show to show by recruiting friends that have played with an impressive resume, but the songs and live show remains an emotional rollercoaster and display, with diverse songs that appeal to a diverse audience.
The new EP is now available after months of promises. The recording, engineering, mixing and mastering took place in December of 04 and April of 05 in La Habra, CA at Love Juice Labs. David Balderrama so kindly played drums on all 5 tracks. "This Place is a Prison" is written by Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello and originally performed by The Postal Service. The EP is available at any show, online (button below) or any contact with Nik. Thank you dearly.
