And now... For the moment you've all been waiting for; B! Righteous! (Crowd goes wild.) [Atleast that's how it plays out in my mind.]
Why this name?
It's a play on words... My first name, Brooks, starts with B and since i've recently been ordained as a practicing reverend I try to live righteously. Basically, I think everybody should be righteous (B Righteous).
Do you play live?
I'm not really a live performer. My compositions were never intended for that.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
First off, the MP3 format makes certain aspects of the recording industry more accessible to many individuals who would not normally have the chance to be associated with that industry. While many unethical practices have hindered the acceptable use of the ever popular MP3 format, there still exists many opportunities for those who wish to utilize it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As far as recording contracts and major lables go, it would depend on the contractual aspects and professional reputation of the lable itself.
Band History:
At this time the history is a mystery... Atleast until I have the time to really get into that aspect of my endevors.
Your influences?
I have a plethora of influences. I grew up listening to the Motown sound. Other musical influences include, Jazz, R&B, Rock, Golden Oldies, Rap, Gangsta Rap, HipHop, Soul, Easy listening... Sometimes i'm influenced by trivial things such as the songs children sing while jump-roping. There's an endless supply of influences in the universe. I'm not too concerned with whom influences me but rather whom I may influence.
Favorite spot?
Well, I love to hate Canton, Ohio if that means anything.
Equipment used:
Equipment comes, equipment goes... sort of depends on what i'm trying to accomplish and what's available at the time.
Anything else...?
I hope you enjoy the compositions i've chosen to share on this site. In any case, feel free to e-mail me your opinions, whether bad or good, on my music.
