DoubleTumble is a boogierock band from Sweden who plays powerfull blues and rock with a heavy slideguitar sound. The band has been playing on the swedish stages for a year and are always up for developing new sounds of old songs mixed with own materials. Listen and enjoy.
Why this name?
The guitarplayer Pelle Åberg and the Bassplayer Michael Örkner is the founder of the band and has played tumbling boogie for 15 years together, thats why DoubleTumbleis the name.
Do you play live?
Double Tumble loves to play in small sweaty load clubs but also in big festivals.Its easy to travel around as a trio.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The mp3 gonna change many things in the future for displaying new free music and musicians but the comercialindustri will still get thier money somehow.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Would be great to sign GOOD record contract but not in Sweden i think.Bluesrock aint a music with many recordbuyers in Sweden.
Your influences?
Influences are mostley och boogierythm of John Lee Hooker and ZZ Top. Instrumental guitarsound and playing is maybe Leslie West, Johnny Winter and Ry Cooder.
Favorite spot?
In Europe best town is Copenhagen
