Delete the Day is a narration of hope seen faintly through the swollen, bruised eyes of humanity. With hammering drums, beautiful yet deadly guitars and roaring screams with uplifting singing and choruses makes Delete The Day a versatile and strong force in the growing metal world. Why this name?
J.R. Carpenter( guitarist) came up with our name. It means instead of regreting the past you clean the slate and start off new. You literally Delete The Day and keep on moving along with life. Not forgeting the past but not dwelling upon mistakes and misfortunes. Knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel of life.
Do you play live?
We have an awesome live show! We really get into our shows with endless bursts of energy!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and MP3's have been both a blessing and a curse to the music industry. It helps bands and other musicians get their music out into the world, that's definitely one of the best ways to get people to hear it. There have been alot of ways people exploit artists and record labels by duplicating music to make profit. It's stealing, and I'm glad it's a federal offense.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Our goal as a band is to be in the music industry. Music is in our passion and we're just waiting for the right label to pass the opportunity to us.
Band History:
Formed in 2003, Delete The Day promises satisfaction to the lover of aggressive music! Within the last 2 years the band has gone through many physical changes ( new drummer, bass player and a developing musical style) yet remains firm, focused and driven more than ever.
Your influences?
We all have a wide veriety of influences but our sound comes from a little old school Metallica, Pantera, Fear Factory, Deftones and Sepultura.
Favorite spot?
Right now we don't have a favorite city but... we really want to hit Richmond HARD this year!
Equipment used:
Delete The Day uses Ibanez guitars, Shure mic's Tama drums and Ziljian cymbals.
