Band History:
Well . . . I picked up guitar at age 15 (I'm going on 22) but It was a classical guitar on which I would just strum random fingerings because of my limited knowledge. I had a pretty soft learning curve for a couple of years until I discovered electric guitar. I had been playing and noodling along Metallica, Pantera, Sepultura, Rage Against the Machine and God Dethroned songs for a good while and it was time to push it a notch further. I was 17 when I got the chance to have an electric at home (borrowed from a friend). I started to get into faster and mor technical stuff, even though I had little knowledge of theory at that time. I began to jam with buddies but I did not put something serious together until I bought my first electric a year or two after. I think that was the turning point in my evolution as a musician. The curve got alot steeper as I started to write my own material and my abilities expanded alot as I took advantage of the 24frets and ease of playing that my Ibanez RG offered. I had a duo with a friend of mine which is a bass whiz and we wrote some experimental death-melodic-funky-jazzy music. It was fun but we parted ways after a while due to our musical tastes growing divergent. A while after that, the curve got near vertical as I got into serious practicing and lessons that got me to the point I am today. I had 1 year of formal lessons but the kind of music lessons available in my area (else than college) was not what I was looking for and I began to self teach myself through various books and ressources here and there. It has proven to be effective as long as I maintain discipline in my practice routine. Last year I joined a band now called Secret Dimension in which i invest most of my free time. Now its time to show to the world what my music has to offer.
