Aloha folks, This Da Famous 1ne coming to you straight outta Hawaii ... that's right, the 50th state. I'm 22 years old. Currently gearing up for my new mixtape, "Winter Of The Heart".
Why this name?
My middle name means "famous" in Hawaiian
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it changed it drastically. Since the whole mp3 thing is the musical format of choice, many people feel that mp3's are more easy than buying a full album worth of songs. Although I do buy albums myself. And most importantly, with the technology we have these days .... nothings impossible.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well, I'm happy with just being independent for now. It maybe more harder to get the "big break" but I'm happy with what I have right now.
Your influences?
My musical influences range all over from old school Hawaiian music to Reggae artists like Bob Marley and Dennis Brown. I'm also influenced (obviously) Hip-Hop music ranging from old school hip-hop like LL Cool J to new school like Little Brother and Foreign Exchange
Favorite spot?
Waimanalo, HI ... my hometown!
