play lo-fi play hi-fi  Can I Find It
We were recently signed to an indie record label called "Progrock Records" out of California. It is one of those amazing stories of how a song posted online finds it’s way to the "right" person. They called us and within a month it was a done deal... Their timing was great as we were just finishing up our second CD. The CD should be ready in March and is tentatively titled "Surface Serene". Look for 10-11 songs and maybe some Extended CD surprises. It will be a Progrock Records release and we're looking forward to having their promotional muscle behind it.

Little Atlas was formed in 1997 and released our first CD, "neverworldly" in 1998. We sold about 750 copies of that. We've undergone complete personnel changes over the years causing the band's sound to change dramatically over time. Since Little Atlas was never founded with a particular "sound" in mind or genre to "live" in, it just seems to reflect the will of it’s creators.
Why this name?
Actually, the name was taken from a song I wrote.
Do you play live?
All over South Florida.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
All its done for me is allowed me to find bandmates, get our music to the world, get signed, and make some money. That's about it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We are enjoying the heck out of working with Progrock Records, an indie label. No interference, only help. Its great.
Your influences?
Early Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Kansas, Porcupine Tree, Jeff Buckely, Radiohead
Anything else...?
If you like what you hear, consider buying our cd. It helps support futures projects.
