Exit Tahiti formed in the spring of 2005. Performing their first gig in September 2005, the band has progressed from Indie-Rock popsters to something less classifiable. Combining disparate strands from a variety of genres, a distinctive style has developed . Exit Tahiti are taking music to interesting places.... and building a loyal following in the process.
By the end of 2005 the band had firmly established themselves in the immense Reading music scene.

Why this name?
It came to our bassist in a vision in the middle of the night when he was searching for pretzels.
Do you play live?
Our gigging domain exists along the M4 from Reading to London.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh yes, where else would I get the money to buy a big house and have a private yacht on the med?

We got together, played some tunes, liked them, and here we are today!

A ready mixed concrete selection of influences, from Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Snow Patrol, Placebo, RHCP, Damien Rice etc.

We've played so many its hard to choose.
