This is insanity.
This is questioning your sanity
This is Xanchron

A mix of various techno styles, experimental noise, and mathcore, along with the songtitles designed to confuse/annoy/amaze the listener.

The sole member of Xanchron is me, Dave.
Why this name?
I was totally drunk any lying in bed.
The name just popped into my head.
I don't even know myself if it has some sort of meaning.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is great, free porn everywhere!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It's unlikely a major label would want to sign this project.
Band History:
Xanchron was created by me, when I was lying in bed drunk.
I decided to start doing some weird techno stuff the next day.

The next morning, even though I had a hangover, I started work on the project.
I wrote a drum track first in Guitar Pro, and then wrote a few other tracks (various synths), and then used the MIDI file in Reason and started really making the song.
I don't really write like that now though, it's usually just pretty random and spontaneous.
Your influences?
I don't really listen to musch techno, but this project is influenced by the following:

The Locust
Aphex Twin
The Berzerker (Gabba stuff)
Various other techno bands I've heard
Agoraphobic Nosebleed
Equipment used:
Reason 2.5
My guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul Studio, loaded with Ernie Ball 12-56 strings.
I use a Kustom 25W practice amp, DOD Tecx4 guitar effects processor, and a cheap Goodman's mic (for recording both guitars and vocals).
The guitar and vocal tracks are recorded and tweaked in Cool Edit Pro 2.
