Walker is my middle name. This name, which is really a last name, was inherited from my Grandmother's last name. My Grandmother was Emma Walker, who was from Marshall County, Alabama.

Yes, I do play live music. I've performed a lot in Alabama, Tennessee, and other areas as well. My most recent performances were in Huntsville, Alabama. I've always loved performing, singing, and playing music. I love being on the stage. This is one of the great things about being in the music profession. Since music has always been a major part of my life, I would have to say all music moments have been real special to me.

I think the internet or mp3's will cause major changes in the music business, as we know it today. It will give country boys, like me, a chance to have their songs and music heard by more people. Also, it will remove the control away from the major record companies. These companies won't be able to control songs, music, singers, as they have done for years. New songs, new music, and different singers will be heard. Good talent will be heard. The music business may become more fair for a change.

I would be willing to consider any offers or record contracts from any major record companies. I'm signed to the Nebo label now.

Music has really always been a part of my life. I started out when I was 12 years old, due to the major influence of my Mother, Osie Whitaker Ikard. My mother taught me how to play the guitar and piano. I've been a songwriter, singer, producer, arranger, promoter, performer, music agent, booking agent, article writer, and author. I've appeared on television, done radio interviews, and had my songs played on radio stations in Europe, Australia, United States, and other areas around the world. My songs have been recorded by singers in England, the United States,, and other places.

My favorite city could be Lawrenceburg, TN. This is a beautiful area, with lovely surroundings. The rolling hills and pretty green mountains look great. As a matter of fact, I always have a peaceful feeling when I go to this city.

I've used the same black Alvarez guitar for years. I also love the old Yamaha guitars for sound. They produce a great sound. I mostly use Peavey sound equipment.
