I am Ess Dub, which is a spell-outation of SW which are the first two letters in the word Switch. I also go by Guru and Mister Tisdale, to name a few aliases. I have been writing rhymes since i was 13, recording em since i was 14, and recorded on good equipment and performed since i was 15. I'm 17 now, turning 18 in october, and hope that you enjoy my music.
Why this name?
Long story, basically it was random and then it started to fit when i realized that i "switch-ed" my style, flow, and personality a lot.
Do you play live?
Yes i have rhymed in clubs before, none lately tho. Special moment? prolly the first time i was on stage, i got cheers, no boos! thats always nice.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Helps underground artists get exposed and takes money away from well known artists and record labels (which isnt necessarily a bad thing)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Your influences?
I have so many influences its not even funny, but my original influence to get into hip hop came in the mid 90's, when i was about 9-10 years old and started listening to Master P and no limit while playin street ball and listening to 36 mafia and wu tang when i chilled. Since then, i have explored so many different avenues of music, but my favorite area of expression is still hip hop.
