As a Part-time producer and the founder of www.BitTrance.com Nick Hibberd aka Charles Darwin has recently taken his productions to the next level.

Through many hours of reading up on tutorials and practising new techniques he has mastered the science and is ready to be signed in the not too distant future.

He has gone through many lenths to get the sound quality and mastering skills to become a profesional artist.
Why this name?
I have been going with the name 'The Origin' for a long time. It was my emailadres before I even started producing. But recently I have found that the name has already been patented to someone else.

I like the theme of evolution becouse it has many simularities to many aspects of production. A good track would evolve along the timeline. Also a producer evolves his or her skills during their career.
Do you play live?
No but sometimes I lie about my tracks being played in clubs to make an impression on people.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
If the music industry was a country, there would be an enormous income disparity. With a small elite of rediculously rich artists and a large lower class who don't earn anything by making music.

The future of music will see online radio stations with a databank of tracks to listen too. Artist will be paid per second that their tracks have been listened to. Or so I have read in 'the economist'.

This means that the barier to become a proffesional artist is a lot lower. And there is more reason for artists to find a way to grab the attention of their fanbase becouse there is more competition.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would. I'm willing to work my but off for it.
Your influences?
Paul van Dijk
Dj Tiƫsto
Armin van Buren
Ferry Corsten
Favorite spot?
Utrecht, Netherlands. By far!
Equipment used:
I need a faster computer realy badly. It's not bad but I am slightly limited with my 1.7 Ghz, 1024 MB DDRam.

KRK V6 Series 2 monitor speakers. An absolute must when mastering.

Cubase SX2, Vanguard VSTi, Z3TA VSTi, SCdrums VSTi, Waves Diamond Effects bundle.
Anything else...?
Sighn me!
