Chantry is an Instrumental project composed only by me, Alessandro Monopoli.
It has born just to play some music as I really want it to be.

Why this name?
I was searching a name that has a nice sound when you say it. I like "Chantry" because sounds as I pleased.
Do you play live?
I play live, but not for Chantry. Play live the Chantry songs requests three or four guitars, and it's a problem to build a band of the kind.
I play live with my cover band, "Plan9".

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe that Mp3 music and Internet is a GREAT way to give opportunity to everyone to make listen his music to a large amount of people.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, I'd love a contract with a major, but I don't think that a major could be interested in a project like Chantry.
Your influences?
Surely my influences are from the old Dream Theater, the never-forgettable Dimebag Darrell, Danny Elfman soundtracks and the good old classical music.
Favorite spot?
I really love Valle d'Aosta, in Italy. I record all my music in Ayas.
