The history of Geebeats. I got into HiP hop in 1983 though a neighbour Mark Lewthwaite but this was the commercial side of it.But I think this is a way for people to frist get into music and find the music they like.I all so had a friend called Joe coles at the time .Joe is in the pic on the slide with the Nike top on Iam the guy stood next to him ponting at him. I asked him at the time about this music called breakdancing he said come around to my house and there on the Tv and Video in his Mum and Dads front room was a Crew breakdancing to a tune called Hashim-al-naafiysh [the soul] this was the underground side of Hip HOP which I loved.I owe much love and respect to Joe coles for introducing me to this beautiful Hip Hop Culture and will never for get that. I found the that Hashim were on the Streetsounds label the Electros and started to collecting Records in 1986.I now know that the proper word for Breakdancing is B-Boying and B-Girling.I used to get the bus back in 1986 to Bristol to go to Park st to buy my Records at Tonys Records and Rival Records and now my Record collection goes from 79-2008 Dr jam used to work Tonys Records I see he still plays out at recent flyer I have.In 1987 I met up with Brubaker and he know a mc out of Budapest at the time I had a set of Lad decks and Realistic microphone we had a little jam session.They went on to form Quantum Deluxe which I was involved in a bit.Which has now split and we have all gone our separate ways.I started putting togther tracks in 2005 and I have now put toghter over 100 tracks for a Mixtape called For The Love Of Hip Hop Volume 1,2, and 3 for mc's male and female from around the world with differnt styles and flows all are welcome which then the artests can pick from my soundclick the track they like that I have put toghter, I have volume 1 done in demo and I will hopefully get relised in 2009. futre plans after I have done these 3 volumes of my mixtape and hopefully get them all relised.
