The Kreisler Hoax is a four piece band from Townsville, Australia. We are of a fairly progressive nature, alternating between quiet ambience and metallic outbursts.
Why this name?
It's based around a figure from history. Do some research.
Do you play live?
We play frequently around local clubs, pubs and parties. We have started as a live band and always enjoy playing live, however it is nice to add some complexity to studio recordings.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It definitely allows for a wider exposure for regional bands.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depending on conditions. It would be nice to have the money to buy better equipment, but we're very protective of our style.
Band History:
The Kreisler Hoax formed early 2002, after the breakup of our previous band, Chlarity (also on this site). Enlisted two other mates on bass and vocals and then developed songs for a few months before playing live.

King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Radiohead, Tool, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, NIN.
