He's been rapping since he was 10-years-old, got on his first mixtape at the age of 14 and oh yea, he got hooks! World: Meet 20-year-old Brooklyn MC, Sonaro....

What's going on America? This is Sonaro, the best out of Brooklyn. From Bed Stuy to Far Rockaway. Upcoming artist, Millertime Ent...

Why this name?
Sonaro, I was in North Carolina for a week and there was a closet full of movies; mob movies. I was watching a bunch of mob movies, and I watched one about a young dude that resembled his father. His father was killed, so when they saw him, they saw his father. Also, when his father got killed he took over the family business, so in my situation, my father is locked up; he's been locked up for so long for doing all types of sh-t.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yea, I'm a free agent, but I roll with Desert Storm, family. It's a good circle.
Your influences?
The oldies man, and Wu-Tang! Everybody I know loves Wu-Tang. I like Mobb Deep, Boot Camp, Smiff-n-Wessun; and when Mase came around, I got into the fashion part of hip-hop, wanting to mess with the bi***es, jewelry; then Clue. When I was younger, I used to go up to Harlem at my grandmother's house and every weekend I used to get a Clue tape. Umm...definitely Eminem. His flow is like it rains today, snows tomorrow, there's a blizzard, then it's hot; just crazy! Versatility is important to me because labels are not trying to sign anyone from NY. Like the East is low right now. There's no one doing it for the East. I can't even say 50 because he's more to the West Coast. They like him here and love him there. Labels are more interested in Southern rappers, so until a ni--a come out with a different style with so many flows, then it might be a chance for a ni--a to slip through. That's why I change up, to be different.
Anything else...?
I would just like to say Ballerstatus.net, Kwebo, V-Prod, Beat Assassins, Miller Time, Get Grown, Blow Magazine, Desert Storm. Sonaro, I'm out the building.
