After a few years of break I have decided to release my new album Xuchilbara. I will be releasing a new song everyday or every other day as I see fit. As I release a new song I will update the playlist in the main page.

The album Xuchilbara tells a story of a journey as the listener is treated to my interpretations of a universe highly influenced by the Cthulhu Mythos.

Azathoth is a two person band containing a session member which provides work on the clarinet and or sometimes recorder. Most work is inspired by the works of Akira Yamaoka and most Funeral Doom metal. Azathoth will release more albums until both band members feel that they don't feel like continuing any longer.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Your influences?
Fall of the Grey-Winged One, Gorguts, Necrophagist, Mordor, Shape of Despair, Intestine Baalism, and Akira Yamaoka. However, they maybe our influences, but we don't sound like any of them.

The album was named Xuchilbara as a tribute to both a friend who played a large part in re inspiring my musical endeavors and Silent hill 2 which inspired a lot of my earlier work. Xuchil (Xochitl in Aztec) meaning flower and the Japanese word bara (bah-rah) meaning 'rose' is an item the listener takes with them on their journey in my new album.
