Why this name?
The name of the band was chosen by George Julius. We wanted a name so strange but so dark to describe our music and ourselves. I think it is the perfect match. Afterwards we heard that there is an episode of a TV series by Lars von Trier (unfortunately not played in Greece) with the name Mors In Tabula, which is about a hospital where many strange things happen. If I ever have the chance, I really want to watch it
Do you play live?
Live performances are very much important for every band's existence. It's one of the best ways to get exposed and to communicate with fans. Every band needs to share their energy and feelings with them, and all the fans need to see the bands on stage giving their best and have a great time. In the past we did some gigs that were really important to us, we got so many experiences from bands like Sodom, Napalm Death, The Haunted, Nile. Now we've been proposed for some gigs in Greece and we'll try to do some out of Greece.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We "owe" to the internet a lot. This is probably the best way to get exposed to people worldwide. We made fans from all over the world. The only ones who are afraid of it are the "big bands", who chase the money that escaped from their pockets.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If we get a good offer yes, we'll do. But the thing we most want from a label is to be fans of the band and not some faceless company.
Band History:
It was a dark winter night in December 2003 when George Julius. was deeply wandering in his thoughts and decided to form a Band based on power, aggression, majestic and eerie choirs, electro and industrial elements.
There was the time for choosing the band members. The choice was not so easy because he wanted the right and experienced members for the band. The choice was made. Harry Noctifer joined the band. They knew each other since their childhood and they were playing together in their former band called Regent. They are very much experienced musicians and their best moments were their live gigs with Regent support to Sodom (1991), Napalm Death (1992), The Haunted (1999), Nile (2003), in their home city Thessaloniki (Greece).
It is their choice to work with session musicians because they don’t want anyone to interfere in their music .
Mors In Tabula was now reality and ready to create. The bands passion and thirst for
hard work combining their music influences were transformed into a powerful and extreme result.
It is a mix of a cyber dark abyss atmosphere with powerful guitars, rhythm section that beats into your face, raw and demonic vocals, synths and effects bringing you fear. All these mixed with the eerie atmosphere of a horror film, making the listeners be lost in the paths of their own illusions.
The monster had already been born and called “BLEMISH”. From this CD four tracks were chosen for promotional reasons. Blood Path , M/K Ultra, Eye of the Abyss and Noctifer.
The reviews of the Promo 2004 were awesome and now Mors In Tabula are proud to be one of the well known bands in the underground scene.
The Promo 2004 was recorded at “Iambic” studios.
All tracks produced, engineered, mixed by Dimitris N.
“This creation is the reflection of our souls” as the band says.

Your influences?
We listen to everything that has to do with music, as long as it's original of course. I think it's every musician's obligation to do that. Every music genre has something interesting to offer. I don't think there are good or bad genres, but there are good and bad artists. We grew up in the 80's and I think we are very lucky because we lived when the metal scene at its best. From the classic N.W.O.B.H.M., to the early Thrash and Death metal days. We don't focus on a standard music genre. We represent a new way of making extreme music. We take all of our influences and transform them into a very modern and extreme feeling.
