Hi, my name is Brad Bates. I am a praise and worship writer. I am also a music minister from Burlington, NC. Praise and Worship is something I consider as a calling in my life. I feel I can really put down in lyrics and music my own personal expression of worship towards God! I hope that everyone who sees this site feels the same way, and maybe my personal worship, will help them to develope their own. That is one of my biggest passions; to see the church truly worship!

I am what you would call a very out going person. I'm a solo artist, I have no back up band really. Everything I record, I do by myself. I usually do my vocals, bass, guitar, and drums.
Why this name?
I'm Brad Bates...So...my band is named Brad Bates.
Do you play live?
I play live every Sunday morning at Fellowship Baptist Church. My church is in Burlington, NC. I love doing what I'm doing, and I hope to be able to do this FOREVER! There have been very many special moments, every time I sing I feel is special, because I'm up there worshipping the God I love and leading others in doing the same.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that the internet helps the music industry...and allows for people like me to be able to be heard in a world where it used to be that you had to be lucky if anyone heard you at all. mp3's have helped a lot as well, in that they have made it possible for us to put our music online, so that others can hear it, decide if they like us, and go from there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Heck yeah! Internet is just a stepping stone if you will.
Band History:
I used to be in a band called Enoch's I. We travled all over SC playing concerts at churches like SeaCoast Community Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC, White Oak Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, and many other churches and organizations around SC. But, unfortunately as things go, we had different ideas of where we wanted to go. After playing our last concert with The Wade Joye Band, we broke up, and went our seperate ways. All of us remain close friends to this day. Today I put together bands with guys I've played with over the years, or by myself, or with family. It really depends on the mood and the venue.
Your influences?
People like Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Mercy Me, Sonic Flood, the David Crowder Band, Jeff Deyo, etc. I am more into Praise and worship which is a combination of a lot of musical back grounds.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city so far is Charleston, SC. But, I will most likely be moving away from there shortly, in like a year. I prefer the mountains, and a cooler climate. I have to admit, Virginia, and West Virginia are my prefered place of living when it comes to temperature.
Equipment used:
I use a Chet Atkins Epiphone Accoustic Electric (solid body), a PRS Tremonti SE, a Takamine and a Yamaha MO6 keyboard/synth.
Anything else...?
